Entrainment Separators / Dispersion Separators:
In order to complete the scope of tower internals KEVIN also offers various types of
- Demisters & Mist Eliminators for entrainment separations and
- Liquid Coalescers as dispersion separators.
Demisters can be offered in wire mesh type or Vane type or combination of both to meet specific requirements.
Our Entrainment Separators work on the principals of inertial impact of the liquid droplets due to higher inertia, their coalescence into large drops and fall back due to gravity. KEVIN’s liquid particulate separators i.e. mist eliminators can be either demister pads (knitted or co-knitted wire mesh for fine mist) or Vane type separators (for coarser liquid drops). Various flow patterns like vapor up-flow and horizontal flow as well as their attachment details, beam sizing and load calculations are also offered.
We are also in a position to offer detail engineering of specialized elliptical, vertical & conical shapes of demisters/mist eliminators.
Liquid Coalescers separates immiscible liquids by breaking liquid dispersions and emulsions so that subsequent gravity setting becomes effective. Specially designed co-knitted wire mesh pads such as liquid Coaleascer are also offered by KEVIN. They are designed for a particular liquid flow and phase ratio (o/w or w/o). These are extremely useful in separating fine liquid in liquid dispersions.
For coarser dispersion KEVIN offers a battery of internals like wave breaker plates, lamella type plate’s separators, flow smoothners, overflow weir plates etc |
